Planetary based orbital defense only. Since the last USI Abandonment early in USI's rise to power in the New Era, the Station was deemed unsuitable by Fleet Admiral Marccus Vagen and most weaponry was withdrawn with his forces. Later during first Darkarian War, Fleet Admiral Kerok Seccour began a reconstruction project that was ultimately stalled due to resources being required elsewhere. There exists many half-built weapon platforms, all of defensive nature.

History
Darklin Reach is one of the oldest Expeltun outposts. Abandoned during the Expletuns fall from galactic dominance, the USI later discovered the planetary based station in 2819 on accident during an incident with the USI Stealth which involved the ship crashing on the planet. After reviving the station, it was later abandoned again when USI realized they could not adequately protect the station from the SCM. Upon leaving the station, all remaining unique Expletun technology and all computer systems were taken to prevent any security risks. Shortly during the first Darkarian war, USI began reconstruction efforts which were ultimately halted to divert needed resources elsewhere. The project was shelved despite USI's desire rebuild Darklin Reach as a hidden fall back base. It was never completed by the Blitzkrieg attack of the Darkarians which left USI's forces decimated.
