Since Mukosans live to an old age, they tend to be very wise in their thinking. They are a sophisticated people, with a profound love of the arts and lives of self-indulgence. They are well known for their poetry, dance, song, lore, and performance arts. Mukosans favor things of natural and simple beauty. In battle, however, Mukosans reveal a more martial side, demonstrating skill with sword, bow, and battle strategy.

Personality: Mukosans are more often amused than excited, more likely to be curious than greedy. With such long lives, they tend to keep a broad perspective on events, remaining aloof and unfazed by petty happenstance. When pursuing a goal, however, whether an adventurous mission or learning a new skill or art, they can be focused and relentless. They are slow to make friends and enemies, and even slower to forget them. They reply to petty insults with disdain and to serious insults with vengeance. Mukosans don't like to have to deal with the problems of everyday life, and labour of all kinds are considered dull.

Physical Description: Mukosans are short and slim, standing about 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall and typically weighing 85 to 135 pounds, with males the same height as and only marginally heavier than females. They are graceful but frail. They tend to be pale-skinned and darkhaired. Mukosans have no facial or body hair. Mukosans possess grace and fine features. A Mukosan achieves adulthood at about 110 years in age and can live to be around 1000 years old.

Religion: Mukosans worship a deity that protects and preserves life, is a patron of arts, dance, and poetry, as well as a powerful warrior god. Mukosan ancient history holds that it was from his blood, shed in battle, that the Mukosans first arose. Mukosans take meditation seriously, and meditate in a deep trance for at least 4 hours a day. While meditating, a Mukosan dreams, though these dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice.

Relations: Mukosans consider other races rather unrefined. While haughty, Mukosans are not particular, and they are generally pleasant and gracious even to those who fall short of Mukosan standards.
