New Era Novels
What is 'New Era' ?
New Era is the term that I use to describe the USI-RPG universe. While for the game, USI-RPG works well, for a novel and for fandom it doesn't really fit and give the universe some meaning. Some may consider the Universe " Kriss Orton's Universe" but the universe has grown and I have allowed the contributions from many writers to affect this end result Universe. New Era comes from the story itself as a major species referrer to periods of times as descriptive Era's. The bulk of which takes place in the 'New Era'.
There are several plots and consequently sub-plots which take place as canon stories in the universe. The first, is the Universe plot.
A classic struggle of power between political and non-political powers, each with their own agenda, in attempts to stabilize their respective way of life.
This plot, while covers a broad spectrum, is actually a subplot of the major events which go on. We will see this subtly as the main story's unfold. The main plotis of course :
USI/Expletuns and the Darkarians in a battle of good and evil, freedom and slavery.
The Story of Kerok Seccour, his family and Friends are focal in this plot. The universe sub-plot stories and the other sub-plots stories relate again back into the main plot.
where the ship was thrown several hundred years into the future due to a anomaly created when the stealths Light drive was activated as it was going through a STNN gateway. The GA at this time easily splinters with dissenters left and right due to a corrupt leadership and ties with known criminal organizations. Talks of allowing UnisecCorp (USC) to handle internal affairs as well as the Terran Authority's space occupation has even further launched the GA into trouble. They are held together by the fact that they are a guaranteed paycheck, despite promotions being less than honorable with those willing to kill to get into higher positions.
With the Metorian government seeking audience with Vagen and Seccour over the Stealth ship despite Vagen claiming the ship under salvage laws which both parties agree to. Vagen, having no ties to anything in the GA any longer, agrees to seccour's request to return to Metoras to seek out family and reestablish his name amongst the flock.
